Two doughnut shop employees assaulted; suspect arrested and charged

BRAMPTON, Ont. – Peel Region police have arrested and charged a 21-year-old woman following an alleged attack on staff at a Tim Hortons in Brampton, Ont.

Police say at about 3 a.m. last Sunday, a woman squeezed through the drive-thru window reportedly demanding to use the washroom.

The woman allegedly grabbed a 25-year-old female employee and assaulted a 20-year-old male co-worker who tried to intervene. Police say both employees suffered only minor injuries.

Leliqua Clarke was arrested on Wednesday and charged with two counts of assault and one count of break and enter with intent.

She was being held for a bail hearing and was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
